How do I edit dialog box information?
You can edit dialog box information using the trackpad, rotary control and the soft
keys:
1. Select the field you want to edit using the trackpad.
2. Press EDIT. The first entry of the selected field will be highlighted.
3. Use either the rotary control or trackpad (up/down) together with the various soft
keys, to change the character or selection in the list.
Character text can be entered in upper or lower case. (although the system is not
case sensitive e.g. WAYPOINT 1, Waypoint 1are considered to be the same name).
If you need to use special or accented characters (e.g.
Set should be changed to ON.
4. Use the trackpad (left/right), or rotary end push to move to the next character to be
edited.
5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until you have edited the selected field.
6. Press OK when the field is edited. CANCEL will revert back to the previous value.
7. Use the trackpad to move to the next field that you want to edit.
8. Repeat Steps 2 to 7 until you have finished editing everything you want to in the
dialog box.
9. Press OK to accept all the new values, and clear the dialog box from the screen.

Pop-up messages

Pop-up messages, can be of two types:
• Information - these messages appear for a set period of time and alert you to some-
thing which is happening, such as a function not being available.These messages
cannot be edited, and some may be a prompt that require a response.

Database list

Database lists contain information that have been added to the display memory, such
as lists provided for waypoints, routes and tracks. You can scroll through a database list
using the trackpad to highlight a particular entry. Information for that entry is shown in
the right hand section of the database list. Entries within a database list can be
selected for editing(e.g. erase or edit the name of a waypoint).
