3.2 How can I place a waypoint?

WAYPOINT AT
CURSOR
A waypoint can be placed at the cursor position, the boat's position or at a position of
you choosing (using lat./long or Loran TD coordinates). All waypoints can also be used
in the creation of routes.
When waypoints are placed they are given a default symbol and group. You can
change this default, or the symbol/group assigned to individual waypoints, if required.

To place a waypoint at the cursor position:
1. Move the cursor to the required position for the waypoint.
2. Press WPTS.
3. Press WAYPOINT AT CURSOR:
i. A waypoint is placed at the cursor position.
ii. The edit waypoint box and associated soft keys are displayed for a short period
of time, to enable you to change the details of the waypoint. For more informa-
tion refer to
4. To accept the default details, either wait for the create waypoint box to disappear
or press OK.
