8. If removed, install the NVMe M.2 enablement board.
9. For 2U server blade, do the following:
a. Install the air baffle.
b. Install the top cover.
10. Install the server blade in the chassis.
11. Power up the server blade.

Memory options

IMPORTANT: This server does not support mixing LRDIMMs and RDIMMs. Attempting to mix any combination of these
DIMMs can cause the server to halt during BIOS initialization. All memory installed in the server must be of the same
type.

DIMM-processor compatibility

The installed processor determines the type of DIMM that is supported in the server blade. Intel Xeon processors support
DDR4-2933 DIMMs. Mixing DIMM types is not supported. Install only the supported DDR4-2666 or DDR4-2933 DIMMs in the
server blade.

Intel Xeon G-6248 processor is optimized for:
• Single-rank and dual-rank PC4-2933 (DDR4-2933) RDIMMs operating at up to 2933 MT/s
• Dual-rank and quad-rank PC4-2933 (DDR4-2933) LRDIMMs operating at up to 2933 MT/s
