Connecting Eaton 16 mm

universal clamps

ARNING
Always earth the installation.
Never work on a live or partly live installation.

OTE
These rubber sleeves are not resistant to cable
grease.
Eaton cable core clamps are only suitable for
connecting copper-cored plastic-insulated cable.
Proceed as follows:
1.
Insert the greased rubber sleeves (b) into the feed
apertures of the insulating conduits (a) at the top.
2.
Slide the insulating conduit up the cable.
3.
Connect the cable cores to the connection points using
the cable core clamps.
4.
Make sure that the cable cores are correctly positioned
in the clamps. This is where the associated cross-
sectional area is stated (see detail).
5.
Tighten the hexagon socket head screws
(torque 15 Nm (11 lbf)).
6.
Ensure that the hexagon socket head screws are fitted
in the same direction angled forward (approx. 45°) for
all three phases.

OTE
Re-tighten the cable core clamp hexagon socket
head screws after a time.
