4.4 Resetting an overcurrent indicator

A switch cap can be provided with an indicator (a) for
passing short-circuit currents. The switch cap has a small
round window showing the rated value of the breaking
current.
The moment the current passing through the switch cap
exceeds the value to which the indicator has been set, a
red flag appears in the window of the switch cap.
4.4.1
Electromechanical overcurrent
indicator
In order to reset the electromechanical overcurrent
indicator, a magnet has been supplied.
Procedure
1.
Eliminate the overcurrent condition.
2.
Slide the magnet through the slot at the front of the
switch cap.
 The red flag disappears.
 The overcurrent indicator has been reset.
4.4.2

Electronic overcurrent indicator

Once the overcurrent condition has ceased to exist, the
electronic overcurrent indicator resets itself:
either immediately, if the system stays live;
or some minutes (up to 30) after system voltage
recovery (after the overcurrent condition has ceased
to exist).

4.5 Protective relay operation

For adjustment and operation of the protection relay please
refer to the corresponding manual. This manual is part of
the information pack supplied.
