4.7.3 Earthing a cable using three-pole high-
speed earthing

Only earth the installation when the switchgear
is isolated.

First of all read the safety instructions in para
4.1.1 on switching the switch caps on and off.
Procedure
1. Check that the cable to be earthed is dead.
2. Connect the high-speed earthing equipment to the
earth bar of the Magnefix switchgear using the
earthing cable.
3. Charge the switch-on equipment by positioning your
foot in the grip or by engaging the grip in the frame
and pulling on the switch cap holder until the interlock
pins mesh (with an audible click).
