4.8 Measuring, testing and phase sequence

4.8.1

Measuring

1. Isolate the installation.
2. Earth the installation.

You can use both the standard earthing caps with
separate earthing cables and the earthing caps
with extended connection pins and the earthing
spider.
3. Remove the earthing from the phase to be measured
(using the mounting rod). Remove the earthing strip, if
needed.
4. Connect the measuring equipment to the phase to be
measured.
5. Perform the measurements.
6. Restore the earthing of the phase you have just
measured.
7. If necessary, repeat the procedure for the other
phases.
8. Remove the measurement connections.
4.8.2 Testing
Measuring rods are available for testing; they can be fitted
directly to the fixed contact in the cast-resin insulated
member of the switch. Each measuring rod has a screw-
type contact for connecting the test equipment.
Procedure:
1. Isolate the installation.
2 Fit the earthing.
