CAUTION
The cutting blade axle can fall down when
the locknut (18) is removed.
5. Remove the locknut (18) and washer from the
cutting blade axle (20).
6. Remove the gearwheel (D) by first tapping down
the blade axle with a soft mallet so that the axle
is flush with the top of the gearwheel.
7. Lift off the gearwheel (D) and gear-toothed belt
from the axle, and remove the 55 mm long
feather key.
Removing the gearwheel (A) and (B), and their
respective ball bearings
1. Remove the screw (21), lock washer and plane
washer.
2. Lift out gearwheel (A) and (B) from their fittings.
3. When removing the ball bearings:
A. Use retainer ring pliers to remove the internal
retainer ring (22) from the gearwheel.
B. With the aid of a press, force the ball bearing
(23) out of the gearwheels (A) and (B).
Removing the gearwheel (C)
CAUTION
The cutting blade axle can fall down when
the locknut (24) is removed.
1. Remove the locknut (24) and washer.
2. Lift out gearwheel (C) from the cutting blade
axle, and remove the 25 mm long feather key.
