Sensor Configuration

The Sensor Configuration allows the selection of where the temperature readings for the ModSync are received
from, along with how often they are updated. The Outdoor Air Temperature may also be disabled for certain
applications from this screen by selecting N/A as the OAT mode. If N/A is selected, the Outdoor Air Temperature
will no longer be displayed on the system status screen and the outdoor air temperature cutoff feature will no
longer be active. See figure 12.
The Sensor Configuration Screen allows configuration of all the enabled sensors. Note that the Outdoor Air Sensor
and Return Sensor options will only be available if they have already been enabled in the options menu.
Mode: Select the source of the temperature value. When in ModSync the sensor should be physically
connected to the ModSync. Reference the associated electrical drawing for proper wiring. When in BMS
mode the temperature vale is being written to the ModSync through the communication protocol.
Sampling Rate: When the sensor is in ModSync the sampling rate is how often the sensor is referenced
for the temperature. This will reduce the amount of temperature changes and provides more consistent
control of the system.
Sensor Bias: A bias value can be entered to offset the measured temperature to allow the temperature to
match other sensors that may be measuring near the same point.
BMS Value: Shows the current temperature value being read from the sensor or the value being written
by the BMS through the communication protocol.
