Oil Configuration
Operation on Oil: For boilers that can operate on oil the ModSync can be configured to operate in two
different modes. In Modulation mode the ModSync will operate the boiler in full modulation. In
High/Low the ModSync will operate the boiler as a High/Low/Off operation.
Min SP On Oil: When any boiler is operating in oil the ModSync will limit the minimum setpoint to the
selected value.
Oil High Fire S2: For High/Low/Off boilers only. Select the calculated firing rate that determines the point
that the boiler increases to high fire.
Oil Low Fire S1: For High/Low/Off boilers only. Select the calculated firing rate that determines the point
that the boiler decreases to low fire from high fire.
Outlet Scaling: Scale the outlet temperature retransmission from the Yokogawa temperature control on the
Fulton Vantage boilers.
Low (4mA): The temperature value when the input is 4mA.
High (20mA): The temperature value when the input is 20mA.
The boiler outlet temperature will scale in a linear fashion between the two points.
Outlet Monitoring:
Enable/Disable: When enabled the outlet monitoring will watch each boiler's outlet temperature. If the
temperature gets to high above the setpoint the ModSync will decrease the boiler's firing rate until the
outlet temperatures outlet temperature decreases. This is used to help prevent the boiler from tripping
on its operating/high limit switch.
Temp > SP By: Determines how high above setpoint the boiler's outlet temperature needs to get before
the outlet temperature monitoring enables. For example if the system setpoint is 125°F and the Temp >
SP By value is 25°F, then if a boiler's outlet temperature meets or exceeds 150°F the boiler's outlet
monitoring will be enabled.
Low Fire %: When a boiler's outlet monitoring is enabled the boiler's firing rate will drop to the Low Fire
%. Note that if the Low Fire % is 0% and the low fire position of the boiler is 20% the boiler will only go to
its actual low fire position.
