BURNER FLAME SENSOR TEST
This test checks the operation of the flame safeguard sensor.
1. Ensure that the burner is firing.
2. Remove the flame sensor from its plug-in connection on the top of the burner.
3. Cover the sensor glass to exclude all light.
4. The burner control should go to a lockout/flame failure condition (2 - 3 sec gas) and
will require manual resetting.
Note: The fan will run on for a short time but the flame should go out.
If the test fails, turn the boiler off and ensure that the fault is rectified before the boiler is
used.
5. Clean the UV photocell before replacing it.
6. Press the Common alarm reset button.
7. Check the burner automatically starts up and fires
