Temperature Sensors

Two (2) PT100 RTD Temperature Sensors are provided with the ModSync. The Outdoor Air Temperature Sensor
and Hydronic Loop Temperature Sensor are shown in Figure 2.
The Outdoor Air Temperature Sensor should be mounted in an outside area of the building away from vents,
windows/doors, and protected from direct sunlight.
The Hydronic Loop Temperature Sensor should be mounted in a thermowell with provided conductivity paste. The
well should be located in the common hydronic loop header after the connection point of the last hydronic boiler
in the system. The Hydronic Loop Sensor should be located such that it will read the mixed temperature of flow
through all of the condensing boilers.
The Outdoor Temperature and Loop Temperature can also be provided by the BMS. This option can be user
selected under the "Sensor Configuration Screen". Refer to the Network Section of this manual for the Modbus
mapping points.
