Equalize Charge: Adjust the various Equalize Charge settings to either
manually or automatically apply a high Equalize voltage to a fully
charged flooded-lead-acid battery for a set time duration as
recommended by the battery manufacturer. This will help force an
equal state of charge on all battery cells, and help prevent stratification
of the battery electrolyte.
WARNING!
Potential for personal injury, or damage to property and
equipment due to overcharging of the external battery!
Use Equalize charge on flooded lead-acid batteries only. Refer
to Battery manufacturer's instruction manual. Do not use this
feature on any type of sealed battery.
Ensure the battery compartment is well ventilated to avoid any
risk of explosion!
Do not exceed the Equalize voltage setting recommended by the
battery manufacturer.
Always consult with battery manufacturer and observe all
battery manufacturer recommendations.
Equalize Voltage: Set the Equalize charge voltage
recommended for your battery.
Equalize Duration: Set the duration of a full Equalize
charge, in minutes.
Equalize Interval: Set an interval (in days) for a recurring
automatic Equalize charge cycle. The default of 0 days
disables automatic Equalize charging. Set an interval of up to
180 days to initiate an automatically recurring Equalize
charge. NTP Time Synchronization must be enabled on the
Communications Basic Setup page to enable automatically
recurring Equalize charges.
Start Time: Set the time of day for automatically recurring
Equalize charges to start. The time of time must be entered
using 24-hour time format. NTP Time Synchronization must
be enabled on the Communications Basic Setup page to
enable automatically recurring Equalize charges.
