When the software is installed, run the application by selecting
Start → Siemens MAG 8000 OPC Server → Open

Once the application has been run, a shortcut is placed in the startup list. The application starts
automatically on logon in order to receive data from the MAG 8000 devices.

Email settings

Overview
The server needs its own email account. Properties (email address, user name, password,
server name, SSL) must be configured in the application. These properties are available from
the email provider.
Note
POP3 server
For some email providers it is necessary to activate POP3 access before the POP3 protocol
can be used. Corporate firewalls sometimes block POP3 traffic. If problems are encountered
connecting to the email server try a different internet connection.
