Time and date

The bus operator unit does not have its own annual clock. The bus operator unit
assumes and displays time of day, weekday, and date if sent from another bus
participant (clock time master). A clock time master is required in a Synco 700
control unit to correctly operate timer, calendars, etc.
8.1.1

Format

The following time formats are available:
• The date is displayed as dd.mm.yyyy (day.month.year).
Example: 31.05.2006
• The time is displayed as hh:mm (hours:minutes).
Example: 15:56
• The date is displayed as mm/dd/yy (month/day/year).
Example: 05/31/06
• The time is displayed as hh:mm am/pm (hours:minutes am/pm).

The master provides the clock time if the KNX network contains a clock time master
(standard). If the clock time is adjusted on the bus operator unit, the master assumes
the new time; the master then provides this time to all KNX network devices.
The bus operator unit sets the clock time if no clock time master is available
(exception). In this case, the time may deviate several minutes per day, as it is not
synchronized to a quartz clock.
