● Timezone
The timezone setting is an offset to UTC (Universal Time, Coordinated). The OPC server
always reports timestamp as UTC+00:00.
Note
Correct setting of the MAG 8000 internal clocks
The internal clocks of all your MAG 8000 devices must be set to the same timezone, i.e.
ignore daylight saving time and possible location in different timezones.
If devices are located in different timezones, we recommend setting all clocks to UTC.
Note
The clocks can be set via the infrared port (IrDA) only and not via SMS. See
SITRANS F M MAG 8000 Operating intructions for further details.
● Interval
The recommended setting for the email synchronization interval is 30 minutes. In rare cases a
longer or shorter interval may be appropriate.
● Checkbox "Use a separate database for each device":
Using separate databases for each device can increase performance.
● Checkbox "Store received files also in filesystem":
If this option is checked, the application stores CSV files received from the devices in the file
system.
– See the help file on the SW for details.
● Directory
This is the directory where the received CSV files are stored, but only if the checkbox "Store
received files also in filesystem" is activated.
