Change PIN code

During first time wake up, the Wireless Communication Module will use 1000 as the default PIN
for authentication. Therefore the PIN code has to be set to 1000 during the first time wake up
of the Wireless Communication Module. To enhance information security, the PIN code of the
SIM card inside the Wireless Communication Module should be changed after commissioning.
To change the PIN code, you need to send the following command.
Syntax:
Pin;<OLD PIN>;<NEW PIN>;
Example:
Pin;1000;1234;
Note
The Wireless Communication Module will also work if the PIN authentication on the SIM card
is deactivated. However, for information security reasons, it is not recommended to deactivate
the PIN authentication.
Note
If PIN authentication is enabled but the PIN code is not 1000 during the first time wake up of the
Wireless Communication Module, the SIM card will be locked. In this case you need to insert
the SIM card into a mobile phone and unlock the SIM card by entering the PUK code. The PUK
code is provided by your mobile network operator.
