4 Power up the individual frames.
If your Operating Systems are set up to require a login and a password, you do not need to
N O T E
fully login. The logic analyzer service will start automatically when the system starts and
the multiframe connection will succeed, but you will have no visual indication via the
Agilent Notification Center tray icon of when the system is ready. So an appropriate delay
will be required before proceeding with the next system.
5 Log into the frame you chose to run the Agilent Logic Analyzer
To ensure a smooth multiframe startup sequence, it is highly recommended to configure all

systems so that the Agilent Logic Analyzer application does not automatically start at login.
To configure this, remove any shortcuts to the application from the Windows Start > All
Programs > startup menu.
Depending on your multiframe connection topology, it may take several seconds for the
N O T E
Agilent Logic Analyzer application to start.

One frame's output is connected to the next frame's input, and so on.
Start with the master frame and wait for the system to boot to the
desktop (a login might be required) and the Agilent Notification
Center Icon in the system tray to go green, indicating that the system
is ready.
As the operating system loads, it will:
Configure the LAN connection.
Start various services.
Start the logic analyzer service and the Agilent Notification Center.
Proceed to the next slave frame in sequence and boot it to the ready
state.
Continue until all the multiframed systems are started and ready.
