NOTICE
This current mode requires both channel I and II at the same time. You cannot select an addi-
tional current mode in channel II.
How to Perform a Treatment with IFM Current
(1)
Switch on the instrument.
(2)
Attach the electrodes to the stimulation points. Make sure that the four electrodes of the two chan-
nels are fixed crosswise.
(3)
In the Display <1>, select the current mode IFM.
(4)
If necessary, select the vector function DYNAMIC.
(5)
Set the frequency cycle F
(6)
Depending on the indication, select a frequency band or a fixed frequency.
(7)
If necessary, alter the basic frequency F
(8)
Set the therapy time.
(9)
If necessary, plug in the manual release key as therapy pause button in the Manual Release Key
Socket <11> on the front of the instrument and hand the manual release key to the patient.
(10) Slowly turn up the intensity of channel I with the Intensity Control Channel I <3>. The therapy
time elapses.
(11) Slowly turn up the intensity of channel II with Intensity Control Channel II <4>. Make sure that the
sensation of the current is the same for all electrodes.
CAUTION
Make sure you do not touch the electrodes when the current is turned up!
(12) After expiry of the timer, an acoustic signal will be issued. The intensity is turned down to zero auto-
matically. Remove the electrodes.
