CAUTION ® Refrain from HIVAMAT 200 treatment if the therapist or patient carry cardiac pacemakers or other implanted stimulators.

    2 Controls and Indicators PHYSIOMED ELEKTROMEDIZIN AG Chapter 2 Controls and Indicators ® The design of HIVAMAT 200 allows for easy operation, in combination with a variety of functions. Due to its compact size, the instrument is very easy to transport. It has been designed for operation also outside of therapy rooms, and can be fed by rechargeable batteries for that reason.

    3 Instrument Operation PHYSIOMED ELEKTROMEDIZIN AG Chapter 3 Instrument Operation 3.1 Operation in Mains Mode or Battery Mode ® HIVAMAT 200 can be operated in mains operation mode as well as in battery mode. The state of charge of the battery is continuously checked. When mains-operated or during standby operation, the battery is recharged automatically.

    4 Treatment PHYSIOMED ELEKTROMEDIZIN AG Chapter 4 Treatment ® With HIVAMAT 200 you can perform treatments with the applicator. ® The effects of the massage with HIVAMAT 200 develop only if the applicator is continuously moved. Moist skin of the patient may also interfere with the effectiveness of the massage. Therefore, the area re- ceiving the massage ought to be dried or possibly powdered.

This in- tensity can be determined by, first of all, adjusting the intensity control <6> to 80-90 %. Then, with an appropriate pressure of massage exerted, turn down intensity until a resonant vibration is felt from the depth of the tissue.

    The manufacturer is responsible only for the original security relevant properties of the instrument. The in- strument must be used in conformance with the operating instructions. The instrument must exclusively be maintenanced by service personnel authorised by PHYSIOMED ELEKTROMEDIZIN AG. A certification must be obtained from the service personnel about the type and ex- tent of the work, possibly with information relating to the modifications in the rated data or the work range.
