Model 8000 Remote Access Concentrator Description

The RAC also provides terminal-to-host connectivity to the following:
UNIX hosts (using TCP/IP)
VMS hosts (using LAT)
IBM hosts (using TN3270)
The RAC supports Windows NT
Server Tools allow you to boot and configure the RAC on a
Windows NT network. For more information, refer to Using
Remote Access Concentrator Server Tools for Windows NT
The Model 8000 RAC is a wide area network server capable of supporting
domestic ISDN, European ISDN, channelized T1, and channelized E1.
The Model 8000 RAC can house up to 62 modems to provide the
flexibility of terminating calls originated by analog modems, terminal
adapters, and routers.
The RAC consists of the following:
Main logic board
Digital modem cards
Compression/decompression daughter card (optional)
