describes the LEDs located on the front panel of the Model
8000 RAC.

Table 4-1. Model 8000 RAC Front-Panel LEDs

LED
Description
LAN/Unit
Attn - Turns on when the RAC requires operator attention,
Status LEDs
that is, in Monitor mode or when the diagnostic tests fail.
Stat - Turns green after the RAC passes power-up
diagnostics. Turns amber if power-up diagnostics fail.
Traf - Flashes to indicate that data is being successfully
transmitted or received on the Ethernet connection.
Setup - Normally off. When the Reset button is pressed a
first time and held for more than 3 seconds, it flashes
(Reset Mode). When pressed a second time and held
momentarily, the LED stays on (Setup mode).
Power - Lit when the RAC is connected to an AC power
source and switched on.
Sync LED
The Sync LED turns on and off depending on the data
activity of the rear-panel Sync port.
Channel
The Channel Activity LEDs labeled 20, 40, 60, 80, and
Activity LEDs
100 indicate the approximate percentage of B channels
that are being utilized. The amber Channel Activity LED
labeled Full indicates that all available B channels are in
use. The Full indicator stays on until at least one call
disconnects. (By contrast, the LED labelled 100 indicates
that between 80% and 100% of the channels are active.)
There are two sets of Channel Activity LEDs, one set for
each WAN port.
