2.2 Commissioning on the DeviceNet

If the CPV valve terminal is used on the DeviceNet, the
following special features must be observed:
• The addresses of all recognized DeviceNet slaves
can be freely assigned in the scan list as M-file ad-
dresses or discrete I/Os.
• The addresses of a network slave are assigned in
ascending order.
• The input and output addresses can be assigned in-
dependently of each other.
PLEASE NOTE
Assign the addresses of the network slaves so that
there is sufficient reserve for later extensions.
The following sections explain how you should carry
out the address assignment and all necessary configu-
ration measures for the CPV valve terminal with the
"DeviceNet Manager" software package (V 3.004) from
Allen-Bradley. Detailed information can be found in the
manual for the DeviceNet Manager.
