In order to install the EDS file, proceed as follows:
1. Start the DeviceNet Manager
2. Insert the accompanying CD-ROM (part no. 384676
as from edition 9808a or later) in the CD-ROM drive.
3. Activate the command Install EDS Files in the menu
Utilities. A dialogue window will then appear in which
you must select the EDS file.
4. Switch to the appropriate drive and select the file
DNDICP.EDS.
Notes on the directory structure of the CD-ROM are
contained in the file README.TXT in the main
directory.
5. Confirm the entry with OK. The following message
will then appear: Set Device Bitmap?
6. With the DeviceNet Manager V 3.004 you can as-
sign a bitmap to the new slave. To do this, click the
box "Yes.".
7. Select the bitmap file DNDICP.BMP in the appropri-
ate directory. The EDS file and the Bitmap file will
then be installed.
The CPV valve terminal is now entered in the slave list
of the DeviceNet Manager as a new possible Device-
Net slave. It can now be added to a network quite sim-
ply, even in offline mode.
