1. Installation

Earth/ground

The CPV valve terminal has an earth/ground connec-

tion on the left-hand end plate.

PLEASE NOTE

• Connect the earth cable of the left-hand end plate

to the earth potential with low impedance (short

cable with large diameter).

You will thereby avoid interference as a result of elec-

tromagnetic influences.

Remark:

Protection against electric shock (protection against di-

rect and indirect contact) is guaranteed on Festo valve

terminals by the use of PELV power units in accord-

ance with EN 60204-1 / IEC 204. The valve terminals

must be earthed in order to ensure their function (e.g.

EMC).
