Error Diagnostics Based on LEDs

To check the functioning of the LEDs, switch the power to the TS Adapter IE off and back on.
All LEDs are switched on when the power is restored. After a few seconds, the LEDs are set
according to the current operating state.
The following instructions will help you to diagnose and rectify simple faults yourself.
Displayed error and cause
No LED lit
The external power supply is not connected
or switched off.
Hardware error.
SF LED lit
The TS Adapter IE cannot communicate with
the internal modem. Hardware error.
The internal or external modem responds
with an error message.
The TS Adapter IE cannot establish an
outgoing connection.
BUSF LED lit
The Ethernet cable is not plugged in.
DC3V LED not lit
The external power supply is not connected
or switched off.
Hardware error.

Remedy
Connect or switch on external power supply
Inform Customer Support.
Replace the TS Adapter IE.
The "Initialization 1" or "Initialization 2" parameters in the
"Parameters > Modem > Internal Modem" or "Parameters > Modem
> External Modem" tab contain AT commands which the modem or
ISDN TA does not understand. Correct the parameters as
necessary. You can view the response of the modem or ISDN TA to
these initialization strings in the "Information > Status" tab of the
configuration interface. If the reply is not "OK", the SF LED is
switched on.
The TS Adapter IE tries to establish an outgoing remote connection
and an error occurs. To find a remedy, refer to the section "Not
possible to send e-mail (Page 75)". You can view the status of the
connection in the "Information > Status" tab of the configuration
interface under "Outgoing Call".
Plug in the Ethernet cable.
You can also view the status of the Ethernet connection in the
"Information > Status" tab of the configuration interface.
Connect or switch on external power supply
Inform Customer Support.
