Establishing a Remote Connection to the TS Adapter IE via TeleService

Requirement
You have connected and put into an operation a modem or ISDN TA on your PG/PC.
Procedure
1. Install TeleService from the "SIMATIC TeleService Edition" DVD.
2. Install the TS Adapter IE software from the "SIMATIC TeleService Edition" DVD.
3. Connect the TS Adapter IE via a phone cable to the phone network.
4. Connect the TS Adapter IE to your power supply.
5. Establish a remote connection from your PG/PC to the TS Adapter IE with TeleService.
6. Enter the user name and password to log on to the TS Adapter IE:
When shipped, the TS Adapter IE is configured such that in most cases the remote
connection setup is successful. If you are unable to establish a remote connection, refer to
the "Error Diagnostics (Page 65)" chapter. You may need to reconfigure the TS Adapter IE
parameters by direct connection in order to remedy the problem.
Result
You can now open the configuration interface for the TS Adapter IE with TeleService. To do
so, select the menu command "Options > Administrate TS Adapter IE".
You can also carry out remote maintenance using this remote connection.
