Function block for sending e-mail
To send an e-mail from a SIMATIC CPU, you need the "AS_MAIL" function block from the
STEP 7 "TeleService" block library. The "TeleService" block library is stored on your PG/PC
during installation of TeleService S7-Library under "...Siemens\Step7\s7libs\Tellib32".
Open Online Help for AS_Mail function block
1. Open the "TeleService" block library in the SIMATIC Manager.
2. From the "Blocks" folder, select function block 49, "AS_MAIL".
3. Press the F1 key.
An e-mail cannot be sent
If you are unable to send an e-mail, refer to the section "Not possible to send e-mail
(Page 75)".

Setting Parameters for Use as Default Router

Requirement
The configuration interface of the TS Adapter IE is open.
Parameters of the TS Adapter IE
If you want to use the TS Adapter IE as the default router, you must make settings in the
following tabs of the configuration interface:
● "Parameters > Modem > Internal Modem" or "Parameters > Modem > External Modem"
● "Parameters > IP Parameters"
● "Parameters > Outgoing Calls"
● "Security > Outgoing Calls > General"
● "Security > Outgoing Calls > Internet Protocols"
For more details, refer to the online help on the relevant tabs of the configuration interface.
Result
Once you have set the parameters, the TS Adapter IE supports Internet access.
