When using a wipe pattern:
Note
When you select a wipe pattern for the color mix, the following wipe
modifier settings become invalid.
• Direction
• Edge
• The "magnitude" setting for rotation
For details of the wipe modifiers, see page 4-70.

In step 6 of the procedure described above under "Modifying the edge of
the wipe pattern" (page 4-71), press F3 (WIPE MIX), turning it on.
