IP Statistics
The following statistics are displayed if you enter info ip.
ipInHdrErrors
The number of incoming datagrams that were discarded due to errors in their IP head-
ers. Errors that cause a datagram to be discarded include bad checksums, version num-
ber mismatch, other format errors, time-to-live exceeded, and errors discovered in
processing the IP options. In a correctly configured network, this number should be
zero or near to zero.
ipInAddrErrors
The number of incoming datagrams that were discarded because the IP address in the
IP header's destination field was not a valid address to be received at PortServer II's
network. This count includes invalid addresses (e.g., 0.0.0.0) and addresses of unsup-
ported Classes (e.g., Class E). In a correctly configured network, this number should
be zero or near to zero.
