5.4.2 Edge Detection Mode

When the direction in which the measured object enters the measurement area of the sensor
head is specified as the TOP or BOTTOM side, this mode measures the distance from the TOP
or BOTTOM side of the measurement area to the edge of the measured object.

On the basis of the TOP side, the
distance from the TOP side edge
to the edge of the measured object
that is the nearest to the BOTTOM
side among the sections switching
from light interception to light entry
is detected as the measured value.
