MENU/EXIT
See "Function mode" (P. 68) for operation details.
⓯ NOTE - VOLUME
Sets the volume (Control Change #7) of this zone. How-
ever, if CC# (20) is at "VOL", this setting value is null.
⓰ NOTE - PAN
Sets the Pan of this zone (Control Change #10).
⓱ NOTE - VELOCITY
Sets the character of the velocity to send to this zone.
Th e setting range is OF and 1 to 4. At OF, the velocity is
fi xed at 100. Th e "touch" (velocity response) of the key-
board progresses from 1 (heavier) through 4 (lighter).
⓲ EXPRESSION - MINIMUM
⓳ EXPRESSION - MAXIMUM
Sets the range to "compress" the expression information to
send to this zone.
In the XK-5 default, if the expression pedal is pulled fully
back, the output does not perfectly silent. If a GM sound
generator is used, the volume would go to zero. Th is is a
parameter to balance the two.
Th e setting range is MIN at 0 to 63, MAX at 64 to 127.
⓴ EXPRESSION - CONTROL NUMBER
Volume control diff ers by type by type of MIDI equipment
connected. Th is parameter sets the proper CC# to control
the volume / expression of connected MIDI equipment.
You can select 7: VOL, 11: EXP.
MESSAGE - DAMPER
Sets which controller to send the damper information to
this zone.
OFF:
Does not send.
CTRL1:
A foot controller which connected CTRL1 jack.
CTRL2:
A foot controller which connected CTRL2 jack.
ON EXP:
The foot switch which placed on the Expression pedal.
ENTER
NOTE: The parameters in these modes are Patch parameters, and
are recorded to the Patch.

PANIC FUNCTION AND PARAMETER RE-LOAD

If a problem occurs to the MIDI system, it may be caused by a
cypher. When this keyboard and an external MIDI equipment
is connected, such a problem could happen due to the diff er-
ence between the setting contents of both equipment.
In such a case, touch both [ ], [ ] buttons. Both the "All
Note Off " and "Reset All Controllers" are sent to the MIDI
channels of all external zones (Panic Function), then the set-
tings of all external zones are reloaded (sent again).
