TRANSMISSION DIALLING ON THE TELEPHONE OR HANDSFREE UNIT

Insert the document, call the correspondent, wait for transmission to end and then pick up the document and
continue to work on it, if necessary.
o
The facsimile machine is on and in stand-by. The document has been inserted and prepared for
transmission (see the "BEFORE TRASMISSION/COPYING" chapter).
Dialling on the telephone
1.
Lift the handset, dial the correspondent's number and wait for the answering signal.
2.
As soon as you hear the signal, press START and hang up. Transmission is started. The TX/RX LED
comes on and the message "TO CHECK OP.IN PROGRESS" appears on the first line of the display and
"PRESS LINE STATUS" appears on the second line.
If you inadvertently left the handset off the hook, the facsimile machine beeps continuously.
Replace the handset on the hook.
Dialling on the handsfree unit
1.
Press HOOK/TALK and enter the correspondent's facsimile number on the numeric keypad. The
message "PHONE MODE" appears on the first line of the display.
If you want to switch from pulse to tone dialling, press
2.
As soon as you hear the dialling tone, press START to transmit. The TX/RX LED lights up and the message
"TO CHECK OP. IN PROGRESS" appears on the first line and "PRESS LINE KEY" on the second line
of the display.
For both types of transmission:
If the correspondent answers, tell him to press START on his facsimile machine, wait for the answering
signal and repeat the procedure from step 2.
If the "LAST TX REPORT" was enabled in the operating configuration, the facsimile machine will print
the report at the end of transmission.
If you hear a beep and the error LED comes on, this means that an error has occurred (e.g. an interruption
in the connection). If this is the case, simultaneously press LINE STATUS and STOP (to switch off the
led) and repeat the transmission procedure.

BROADCAST TRANSMISSION - IMMEDIATE OR DELAYED

With the aid of the memory, the facsimile machine can send a document to several correspondents (maximum
100). The document is stored (about 30 pages of A4 format with normal resolution) and then sent, immediately
or at a preset time, to each destination in the preset order.
While executing broadcast transmission, watch the indications that appear on the display closely while you
enter the facsimile number of each correspondent. After setting each number, wait for the message "TYPE
KEY/CODE/NUMBER" before setting the next one. The facsimile machine reduces operating times by
transmitting the document as soon as the numbers are set.
