5. Insert the cartridge in its
compart-ment immediately and
press as indicated until it clicks
into position

If the new cartridge does not give excellent printing quality, consult the "CHECKING THE PRINT HEAD
NOZZLES" section.

REPLACING THE PRINT HEAD

The print head (whether disposable or with an interchangeable ink cartridge) is simple to replace.
The facsimile machine is on and the message "NO INK" appears on the display.
1. Lift the operator console and
open the lid of the print head
compartment. If the fax machine
has a print head with an
interchangeable ink cartridge, it
will automatically load a blank
sheet under the print head
carriage.

6. Close the lid of the print cartridge
compartment and lower the
operator console. The fax
machine will unload the paper
from under the print carriage.
2. Release the used print head
(including the cartridge) in the
direction indicated and remove
it from its compartment.
3. Remove the new print head from
its packing and peel off the film
from the printing nib.
