Connect calibration generator STD AMPL output
to the CH 1 input via a 5 0 -0 precision BNC coax­
ial cable.
c.
Set calibration generator AMPLITUDE to 50 mV.
d. CHECK—X-Axis amplitude is between 4.85 and
5.15 horizontal divisions.
e.
Disconnect calibration generator.
11. X -Y Phase Difference
a.
Set:
Horizontal MODE
Vertical MODE
CH 1 Input COUPLING
b. Connect function generator (FG 502) output to
the CH 1 input via a 50-0. BNC coaxial cable and
a 5 0 -0 BNC termination.
c.
Set function generator output for six divisions of
signal display amplitude at 100 kHz.
d. Set:
Horizontal MODE
CH 1 Input COUPLING

e.
Position dot to graticule center.
f.
Set CH 1 Input COUPLING to DC.
g.
CHECK—ellipse opening at the center is 0.3
division or less, measured horizontally.
h.
Disconnect function generator.

12. X-Axis Bandwidth

a.
Connect
precision BNC coaxial cable and a 5 0 -0 BNC ter­
mination.
b.
Set:

CH 1 (CH 2 off)
CH 1 VOLTS/DIV
DC
Vertical MODE
c.
of 50-kHz signal.
d. Set leveled sine-wave output to 3 MHz.
e.
X-Y
f.
GND
the
leveled
(SG 503) output to the CH 1 input via a 5 0 -fl
Set leveled sine-wave generator for six divisions
CHECK—X-Axis

Disconnect the test equipment from the 2246 1Y
or 2246 Mod A.
