Replacing Scanner Parts

This section describes how to replace scanner parts that may wear down with prolonged use of the scanner (consumables). Replacing parts when needed is
essential in order to retain optimal scanner image quality. WIDEsystem software monitors the scanner constantly and will announce when it is time to replace a
component.
The following parts can be replaced:

Scanner glass

White background
WIDEsystem WARNING – Glass plate or white background plate replacement

After replacing the scanner glass or the white background go to the Status tab in WIDEsystem and reset the warning flag.

Because replacing these parts will change conditions in the scan area it is recommended to recalibrate by starting WIDEsystem and selecting Calibrate.
SAFETY: Before replacing any parts always turn the scanner power off and disconnect the power plug first.
