Enabling Gigabit Interface

Connecting to the Network (LAN)

This scanner requires a gigabit Ethernet connection for best performance.

Disconnect the USB connection

Connect the supplied gigabit cable to the scanner Ethernet interface on the back of the

scanner

Connect the other end of the gigabit cable to your network (LAN)

If not already open, display the WIDEsystem user interface by double-clicking the

WIDEsystem icon

in the system tray.

Press the Refresh Scanner button

Wizard finds the scanner on the network

NOTE: Use only an approved gigabit cable. Full performance is not guaranteed with other

cables or normal LAN cables.

NOTE: WIDEsystem will detect and warn if the network is not gigabit. Contex recommend a

gigabit network for best scanner performance. An internet connection is not required for scanning.
