Cleaning the scanner

Open the scanner lid by pushing it back
The lid will begin to move upwards when the catches are released
Open the lid fully backwards to expose the internal scan area

Clean the internal scan area
Lightly wipe the glass plate area using a dry lint-free cloth.
If there is contamination on the glass that will not wipe free refer to the section covering
cleaning the scan area later in this guide.
Close the lid after cleaning the internal scan area
Push the scanner lid back all the way down until you hear the lid latches click
Gently lift each side of the lid to check the catches are locked
