Operation
Calibrating
If Capno Plus option is installed:
Checking / calibrating CO
The CO
sensor is works-calibrated and can be used

without further calibration on any Evita 4 unit.
A CO
zero calibration is performed as part of the device
2
check.
Calibration of the CO
sensor is only required if:
2
– on checking the calibration with a test filter or with
test gas, the specified test values are not met
and
– on half-yearly device inspections.
The calibration check or calibration can be performed
during ventilation.

curve no longer returns to zero after each

inspiration
– before each calibration test, page 102 onwards
– before each CO
calibration, page 105.

Switch on Evita 4. Wait about 3 minutes for
completion of the warm-up phase of the CO
After about 3 minutes, the measured values will be within
the specified accuracy.
Press the »Calibration« key.
Display (example):
Touch the »CO
« screen key.

Touch the »Zero« screen key.
