3.4.1 DDS canister system

WARNING
Risk of infection by contaminated bacterial filter and canister lid.
Deadly diseases can be transmitted.
• Do not operate the device without a bacterial filter. We recommend you always to
store at least one spare bacterial filter.
• Always wear disposable gloves when changing the bacterial filter.
• Prior to each use please check whether the bacterial filter is dry and clean. Replace
the bacterial filter with a new filter if it is discoloured, contaminated or oversucked.
A bacterial filter may never be reused.
• Exchange the bacterial filter when changing the patient. ATMOS recommends:
Replace the bacterial filter after 14 days, even if there is no patient change.
