Replacing ink tanks (cont.)
3 Remove an ink tank from its protective cover. Pull the
orange protective tape along the dotted line to open
the seal then remove the film.
4 Press gently on the orange protective cap with your
thumb, and slowly twist in the direction of the arrow
and remove it.
• To prevent staining your hands with ink, do not
press in on the sides of an ink tank.
5 Set a new ink tank lightly in the Printhead so it rests at
a slight angle in the slot.
• Discard the protective cap according to the
Cautions
local laws and regulations regarding
disposal of consumables. Never attempt to
reattach the cap to an ink tank.
