BJ Status Monitor does not display

Are you using a computer and printer cable
which are both capable of bi-directional data
transfer?
Confirm that the specifications for the computer and
printer cable allow bi-directional data transfer between
the computer and printer. If the computer or printer cable
is not capable of bi-directional communication, the BJ
Status Monitor cannot be used.
• If you cannot determine if both the computer

directional communication, contact the
computer or printer cable manufacturer.

Has bi-directional support been enabled in
the printer driver?
Use this procedure to enable bi-directional support.
1 Open the printer driver directly.
2 Click the Details tab and click the Spool Settings
button.
3 Click the button for "Enable bi-directional support for
this printer" to enable bi-directional support.
