1. Main Audio Outputs (balanced)
Connect these line level outputs to one or more external power amplifiers.
Note: All of the analog audio outputs on the RMC-1 offer balanced XLR connections. Many
modern high quality power amplifiers offer balanced input connections. Tthe balanced input
is preferred for any amplifier that offers both types of inputs. If one or more of your amplifiers
offers only unbalanced inputs, then a set of standard low-cost balanced-to-unbalanced
adapters can be used to allow you to connect unbalanced RCA interconnect cables to the
RMC-1, or you can purchase adapter cables with a balanced XLR connector on one end and an
unbalanced RCA connector on the other.
2. Subwoofer/Height Outputs (balanced)
Connect a single subwoofer to the Center Subwoofer output.
The other two Subwoofer outputs may be used to connect either two more subwoofers, or a pair
of Center Height speakers, depending on how they are configured in the Setup Menu.
Note: The RMC-1 supports up to three subwoofers; each of which recieves the same monaural
LFE and low frequency content. The left, right, and center designations are provided strictly to
aid in identifying each subwoofer by connection and room location.
