1. & 2. Left and Right Front Panel Status Displays
Large, bright, easy to read graphical 64 x 256 pixel blue OLED status displays. The information
shown on each display can be customized in the Setup Menu.
3. Multi-Axis Encoder & Volume Control
The main control on the front panel of the RMC-1 is a unique multi-axis encoder, which combines
a precision rotary encoder and a sensitive four-quadrant joystick type controller. When you are
navigating the menu, highlight LEDs in the halo ring will illuminate to show which directions of
controller movement access valid menu options.
Rotate this knob to control the output Volume on the RMC-1.
Press this knob momentarily to toggle the Mute function On and Off.
Press this knob and hold it for a few seconds to enter and exit the Menu.
Rock the knob, or press it to the side like a joystick (Up, Down, Left, or Right) to navigate the Menu.
4. Headphone Jack
Connect any standard pair of stereo headphones for high-quality personal listening. When you
plug in a pair of headphones, the main outputs are automatically muted.
5. Front Panel USB Input
This input is used to apply firmware updates to the RMC-1 via a standard USB stick (thumb drive).
6. Front Panel Analog Input
Connect any music source that supplies line level stereo analog audio to this input. This input is
named "Analog Front", and is typically used for an iPod or other portable music player.
