Speed setting by external terminals
Purpose
Make speed setting by combination
of terminals
Perform Jog operation
Infinitely variable speed setting by
terminals
4.7.1
Operation by multi-speed operation (Pr. 4 to Pr. 6, Pr. 24 to Pr. 27, Pr. 232 to Pr. 239)
Can be used to change the preset speed in the parameter with the contact signals.
Any speed can be selected by merely turning ON-OFF the contact signals (RH, RM, RL, REX signals).

The above parameters allow their settings to be changed during operation in any operation mode even if "0" (initial value) is set in Pr. 77 Parameter write selection.
These parameters can be set when Pr. 160 Extended function display selection = "0". (Refer to page 161.)
The value left of the slash is for the 2.2K drive unit or lower. The one right of the slash is for the 3.7K drive unit.
If a value exceeding the upper speed limit of the motor is set, the actual operation will be limited at the maximum rotation speed. The setting range is for the
S-PM motor. The maximum setting value differs depending on the number of poles of the applied motor.
(1)
Multi-speed setting for 3 speeds (Pr. 4 to Pr. 6)
The drive unit operates at speeds set in Pr. 4 when RH signal is ON, Pr. 5 when RM signal is ON and Pr. 6 when RL signal
is ON.

REMARKS
In the initial setting, if two or three of multi-speed settings are simultaneously selected, priority is given to the set speed of the
lower signal.
For example, when the RH and RM signals turn ON, the RM signal (Pr. 5) has a higher priority.
The RH, RM, RL signals are assigned to the terminal RH, RM, RL in the initial setting. By setting "0 (RL)", "1 (RM)", "2 (RH)" in
any of Pr. 178 to Pr. 182 (input terminal function selection), you can assign the signals to other terminals.
