Resuming Operation

Whenever the HC700-G screen is Off, press the Power Button to resume operation.
Important: When the battery is critically drained, operation can not be resumed by pressing the Power
button. The HC700-G automatically turns off the screen and Status LED. The unit maintains its
memory content until charged again.
To resume operation, place the HC700-G for charging or replace battery.

Critical Power Loss

Critical power loss may happen when the battery is suddenly removed from the HC700-G during
operation, or when the power level of the battery becomes critically low.
In such event, the HC700-G enters a Sleep mode and uses its internal backup power to salvage it's
memory content for the coming 5 minutes. In Sleep mode the HC700-G shuts-down and looks idle - all
keys, buttons and LEDs are Inactive.
Note that the critical power loss does not happen while the HC700-G is docked in a cradle or
connected to any external power supply.
How to resume from critical power loss
Perform one of the following steps to resume from critical power loss:
Place a charged battery inside the HC700-G and momentary press the Power button.
1.
Dock the HC700-G inside a cradle for charging.
2.
If the HC700-G resumes from critical power loss within 5 minutes, the display will return to the screen
shown before losing power and you may continue working.
If the HC700-G is left for more than 5 minutes, Cold reset (See "Cold Reset" on page 39.) will be
