    Definition The MC75A-NI for UL Class I, II, III / Division 2 is a 3G Worldwide Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA) device for use in the hazardous areas UL Class I, II, III Division 2. This means that even in the hazardous area the user can avail of the extensive communication options that are already standard in other areas.

    Health and Safety Recommendations CAUTION Use only the accessories, batteries and battery chargers approved by Motorola. Do not attempt to charge damp/wet MC75A-NI or batteries. All components must be dry before they are connected to an external power supply.

    User Guide microSD card The microSD card slot provides secondary non-volatile storage. The slot is located on the side of the MC75A-NI. Refer to the documentation provided with the card for more information, and follow the manufacturer's recommendations for use.

    Close the battery cover latches on either side of the battery cover. Insert the handstrap through the handstrap slot, then tighten and press down to secure. The MC75A-NI powers up after inserting the battery and replacing the battery cover. Removing the Battery To remove the battery: Press the red power button to suspend the MC75A-NI.
  • Page 28 The MC75A-NI is equipped with a battery backup module, which is charged automatically when the main battery is fully charged. When the MC75A-NI is taken into operation for the first time, the battery backup module needs about 36 hours to be fully charged. This is also the case when the main battery was removed for several hours, which discharges the backup module.

    RAM data in memory for at least 48 hours. Screen Protector The MC75A-NI is provided with a screen protector. Motorola recommends using this protector to prevent wear marks. A screen protector contributes to the user friendliness of the device and protects the touch screen.

    If the functions stop working when using the MC75A-NI, it is recommendable to reboot the device. There are two reset functions: warm boot and cold boot. If these do not function, the MC75A-NI can be reset to the factory defaults by performing a clean boot.
