5.Update Cradle Software: System Image and Bootrom

Connect the Cradle serial port to a terminal emulator (9600, 8 bit, no parity, no flow control).

Connect the Cradle to a host where the new image, CradleRom.bin or Cradle BootRom.bin are

stored using an Ethernet cross cable.
Note: you can connect the cradle to the network if you have a dedicated static IP address in the
network (the cradle bootrom program doesn't support DHCP).
Set the Host PC LAN interface to static IP- 10.10.10.1.

Start an FTP server on the host where the new image is stored. The FTP server must be configured

with a user ID and password that your Cradle can use to identify itself.
Power up the Cradle.

When you power up the Cradle the boot program starts a two-second countdown. Pressing any key on
the terminal emulator within that two-second period will stop the auto boot process and a boot prompt,
shown in Figure 93, will be displayed.
