HC700-G Diagnostics Application tests

Test Name
What does it do?
Dock
Docking test to verify proper connection between the HC700-G and any device
currently attached to the Cradle Interface Connector of the HC700-G.
Media
Real-time test of memory devices (Flash, RAM, miniSD)
Scanner
HC700-G imager and bar code recognition test. The test also shows a log of events
that occur during the test.
Bluetooth
Perform internal functional test or remote communication test for the HC700-G
Bluetooth radio.
The remote communication test requires another Bluetooth enabled device, in order
to establish communication. The test also requires basic understanding of how to
create Bluetooth partnership with other devices (See "Bluetooth Connection" on
page 99.).
Before performing the remote communication test, turn on the Bluetooth radio in
your HC700-G (See "Turning the Bluetooth radio On/Off" on page 100.).
Audio
Perform audio system test by playing a sound file.
Reset
Perform Cold or Warm reset and get rest type verification from the device.
PM
Power Management test. In this test you set time-out duration to enter Suspend
mode, and then, walk-up the HC700-G (See "Waking-up From Suspend Mode" on
page 27.). The test should identify the walk-up cause.
Time
Test the Real Time Clock and Tick mechanism.
LED
Test the Application LED operation.
USB
USB connection test
Serial
RS232 serial communication test
IDEN
iDEN radio internal and communication tests
WLAN
Wireless LAN radio internal, network and remote tests
Starting to Test
To access the Diagnostic application, Tap: Start > Programs > Sample Applications > HW_Diag.
The main window of the Diagnostic application will show on the screen.
