2.2 Addressing in the fieldbus
The G6 device is provided by the EtherCAT master at system startup with an address.
Alternatively a fixed fieldbus address can be stored by the master as a station alias for the hot
connect functionality in the EtherCAT EEPROM. If this address is not 0, it is taken and used
at power on of the device.
